The series finale has happened and we’re pretty satisfied. We try to digest it all in an hour.
Series: Wednesday In Westeros
We get deep on this one. We talk about nature vs nurture, war, hell, other big stuff. How could we not? We’re one week away from Game of Thrones being over and done forever (’cause George is NOT finishing those books, people) and Todd is feeling a little verklempt that this podcast is ending along with it.
The episode that has been prophesied for 8 years. And HBO has the worst summary of it we’ve ever read: “Arya looks to prove her worth as a fighter.” Yep, that totally captures it.
Well, we were still dabbing at tears and picking our jaws up from the floor when we started recording. Looks like Taylor’s prediction that the first big battle will be in Episode 3 proved correct. This week, we got so many emotional scenes and an intense ratcheting up of the tension.
Welcome back. Game of Thrones enters its final season and we’re here to talk about it a seemingly endless amount. Todd and Taylor catch up on where the gang was at the end of Season 7 and then set about talking about everything we can think of. It’s a truly epic conversation. We’re publishing this episode on the feeds of both Wednesday in Westeros and our comics podcast, Panelism. We hope you’ll follow both podcasts.
Taylor was traveling on Sunday night and watched Game of Thrones, Season 7 Episode 7, “The Dragon and the Wolf” on an airplane. He wasn’t able to podcast about it that night so he and Todd caught up on Monday evening. Todd and Taylor talk about the scenes that made Taylor pump his fist and what they think might happen in Season 8.
It’s another Sunday night edition of Wednesday in Westeros. Taylor was traveling but Emily and Todd chatted about that season finale. Emily said her jaw was on the floor for most of it so Todd made her relive the excitement and trauma. Stay tuned! Taylor and Todd will release another episode this week.
Emily, Taylor, and Todd convene an emergency session of Wednesday in Westeros immediately following Sunday night’s episode to discuss…oh Lord of Light…to discuss all the things that happened.
